CHEMIA: Neue Single / Neues Album / 25% aller Einnahmen werden gespendet
Chemia aus Warschau veröffentlichen am 29. April 2022 ihr neues Album „Something To Believe In“. Das Album wurde vom mehrfach ausgezeichneten Gitarristen und Songwriter Andy Taylor (Duran Duran, The Power Station) mitgeschrieben und produziert. Chemia sind damit in bester Gesellschaft mit Rod Stewart, Thunder und The Almighty, die allesamt von Taylor produziert wurden.
Nach „Modern Times“ erschien letzte Woche, am 25.03. die neue Single „New Romance“:
In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass sich die Band nun intensiv der Unterstützung der ukrainischen Flüchtenden zuwendet, die in Polen Zuflucht suchen, hat der Titel vielleicht noch eine neue Bedeutung bekommen. In diesem Zusammenhang kündigt die Band zudem an, 25 % der Einnahmen aus den Album- und Single-Einnahmen an das polnisch-ukrainische Institut für Entwicklungshilfe zu spenden.

Mit „Modern Times“ veröffentlichen Chemia die erste Vorab-Single aus „Something To Believe In“, die in den Londoner Baltic Studios aufgenommen wurde.
Chemia-Gitarrist „W“ Balczun sagt:
„Working with Andy was a fantastic adventure and a great honor for all of us. We loved his work
with both Duran Duran and The Power Station as well as his solo albums, especially ‘Thunder’. So to have him co-write and produce our new album was an amazing experience and for all of us, it was simply a dream come true. His attention to detail is second to none and we all learned so much from working with him and we cannot wait for everyone to hear it.“
Das Album wurde von Sean Magee – einem Teil des Teams, das den gesamten Beatles Backkatalog geremastert hat – gemastert.
Chemia-Frontmann und Sänger Lukasz (Luke) Drapala fügt hinzu: „All in all, the year before the pandemic was amazing for us. We ended the year touring mainland Europe with Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe and his all-star band as well as doing a stadium tour of the Ukraine with Antytila and to ice the cake we cut our best album to date with Andy Taylor. We also got to play one very special show with Andy Taylor and the guys from Reef too in Milton Keynes which was great fun.“
„The word Chemia means Chemistry“, erklärt Gitarrist und Bandgründer Wojtek „W“ Balczun. “It is all about exploring , nurturing and discovering our musical chemistry as a band and how we interact with each other as musicians and how this also resonates with audiences too. I guess our goal is like that of the best alchemists to try to create something extremely unique special from our music. Often with music it needs creative triggers and some “Je ne sais quoi” to help inspire the writing process.“
